We are moving to ParentSquare!

We are excited to announce that our school district has adopted a new form of school-to-home communication called ParentSquare. This unified communications platform is designed to keep parents and guardians informed and encourage greater engagement and connection with your child’s school and Livingston Parish Public Schools.  

ParentSquare provides a safe way for district administrators, school principals, teachers, staff, and parents to receive and send information, such as: 

• Send emergency notifications
• Share weather-related school updates and closures
• Receive updates from your school via email, app, or text notification
• Choose to get posts as they’re shared or bundled in a daily digest
• View posts, photos, calendars, and important announcements
• Communicate in your preferred language with automatic translation
• Comment on school posts and stay engaged with your school community
• Send direct messages to teachers
• Sign up for conferences and school events
• Fill out forms, sign permission slips, and view report cards—all in one place

District and school information will now be sent to your computer or phone via email and/or text via ParentSquare.  While it is not required, we highly suggest all parents/caregivers: 

• Download the ParentSquare app from the Google Play Store or Apple Store
• Register your ParentSquare account with the email address that is connected to your student in the PowerSchool Student Information System.  (You will receive an initial invitation email and/or text with a link to activate your ParentSquare account.)
  
  In order to receive your report card digitally, you have to register your account!
